Q: When will my Dropfan Ship?

A: Orders placed by 2PM will ship the same business day.  Once shipped, packages arrive at most domestic US destinations between 3-6 business days and 2 weeks for canadian destinations.

Q: Can I return my Dropfan?

A: If you are unhappy with your Dropfan you can return it to us within 90 days of delivery for a full refund.  The product must be in new condition, with all accessories, and packaged in the original box.

Q: Can I install a Dropfan?

A: Installation takes only a couple minutes.  Choose an unused 2'x2' tile and remove it from your ceiling grid.  Dropfan will fit in the same space. We recommend you hire a licensed electrician to handle the wiring for the fan.

Q: Can I get my fans to turn on and off with my lights?

A: Absolutely! Have your electrician daisy chain the fan(s) into the same wiring that controls the light fixtures.  When you turn off your lights Dropfan will turn off too.  You'll still need to use your IR remote control to choose a fan speed when you turn the lights back on.

Q: Can I control multiple fans with one IR remote control?

A: Yes.  Each fan will come with a remote control, but feel free to put the extra ones away because one IR remote control will work with all your fans.

Q: Can I direct all the air in just one direction?

A: Dropfan features a power rotating diffuser.  It can be controlled using the IR remote control.  If you look on the diffuser you'll notice a small arrow showing you the direction the air is blowing. Press the "rotation" button to start the rotation and then when the arrow is pointing in the direction you want the air to go just press the "rotation" button again.

Q: Whats the best way to clean a Dropfan?

A: Dropfan is made of two pieces, the body and the face.  Remove the 4 corner screws with your fingers.  Next, support the face with one hand and carefully press the safety tab on the side of the fan face with the other hand.  The face (including the diffuser) will easily pull away leaving the body in the ceiling.  For your convenience, the fan blade is also removable.

Q: Is my suspended ceiling too high/low?

A: We have tested our fans in ceiling heights ranging from 7 ft to 13 ft. Dropfans sit nearly flush with your ceiling grid.  As long as your have 2 inches of room to spare then your ceiling is not too low.  Dropfans work well with high ceilings, especially when multiple fans are used in the same room, but you may want to consider how the height will affect your ability to service the fans once they are installed.

Q: I have a 2'x4' ceiling grid. Is this a problem?

A: This isn't a problem at all.  Typically in 2'x4' grids you have several 2'x2' tiles already in place. These are usually located next to HVAC vents. We recommend placing Dropfans near HVAC vents to maximize circulation of conditioned air.  If you have no 2'x2' tiles available you may need to pick up a cross tee at your local hardware store.  Here's how to install it.

Q: Are you gluten free?

A: No.

Q: What countries do you ship to?

A: At this time we only shop to addresses in the USA
